ENGIE welcomes the registration of interest from local suppliers and Indigenous businesses and people for the proposed Hills of Gold Wind Farm. We are requesting that potential head contractors develop an Indigenous and Local Community engagement plan to provide opportunities within their supply chain for the project if it is successful.

Please note the definitions below:

Indigenous Business – Any business in which a person or persons of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent has ownership of at least 50 per cent of the business, and is registered or certified with Supply Nation or NSW Indigenous Chamber of Commerce (NSWICC). A Local Indigenous Business is an enterprise located within the community footprint.

 

Local Supplier – A supplier of goods or services that maintains a workforce whose usual place of residency is within a 125km radius of where the good or service is supplied.

 

Regional Supplier - A supplier of goods or services that maintains a workforce whose place of residency is outside the 125km radius yet within the State.

Skills 
During construction, we expect head contractors may seek people with skills in the following areas:

  • Electricity installation
  • Electrical trade assistants
